After sharing a picture of his Uefa B coaching license, former Ghanaian captain and artist Asamoah Gyan is now one step closer to coaching.
News of the former Sunderland player’s journey to Wales for his coaching course surfaced in June of this year.
Gyan attended the six-day program that the Football Association of Wales had planned while in class.
For individuals with prior playing or coaching experience in the professional game, it was a residential course.
Gyan performed really well, and after five months, he received recognition for his dedication, which qualifies him to take on a coaching position.
The 36-year-old, who was sidelined for more than a year after suffering an injury while playing for Ghana Premier League team Legon City FC, is yet to put on his boots.
The “ewo le monko” man uploaded his license on his social media networks with the following caption:
Your new UEFA License Coach is here, thanks to all who made it possible, and a special one to the Wales FA. This is just the beginning. Loading of the January 2023 Coaching Clinic
