Bawumia Claims NPP Delivered 80% of 2020 Promises
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has asserted that the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration has fulfilled 80% of the promises outlined in their 2020 manifesto.
Speaking at a media engagement on Sunday, August 25, Dr. Bawumia highlighted the government's commitment to delivering on its pledges.
Contrasting this with the record of National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer John Dramani Mahama, Dr. Bawumia claimed that Mahama only fulfilled 28% of his 2012 manifesto commitments. He criticized Mahama for reportedly failing to deliver on 203 out of 280 promises made during his tenure as president.
Dr. Bawumia stated, "We have a very strong record in terms of honoring our promises. We've done some analysis on our 2016 manifesto, and 83% of those promises have been honored. Despite the challenges we've faced, we have fulfilled 80% of our 2020 promises. In contrast, my opponent only fulfilled 28% of his 2012 manifesto promises, leaving 203 out of 280 unfulfilled."
