Fmr President, John Mahama To Finally Congratulate Akufo-Addo After Accepting He Lost The 2020 Elections

Information reaching our desk is that, former president Mr John Dramani Mahama is set to concede defeat and congratulate incumbent President Nana Akufo-Addo.

The NDC 2020 presidential candidate refused to congratulate Akufo-Addo after he won the 2020 general elections.

Mr John Mahama was not satisfied with the results, he took EC to court to seek for a re-run of the 2020 election but the Supreme Court dismissed the case and affirmed Akufo-Addo’s victory.

The former president again, disagreed with the verdict of Supreme Court and did not congratulate Akufo-Addo.

However, a close source to the former president says upon consideration has decided to concede defeat and call Akufo-Addo to congratulate him.

Also a source also disclosed to Asaase radio this morning the only hindrance to this matter is Mr Mahama fears the negative and unprinted comments that will follow from the rank and file of the NDC party.

A congratulatory press statement has already been prepared by John Mahama to concede defeat but was impressed upon by some hardline members of the party.
