ANGLOGOLD ASHANTI (IDUAPRIEM) LIMITED (A subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti Limited) operate the combine Teberebie and Iduapriem open-pits gold mines at Tarkwa in the Western Region of Ghana and has a work force of over 1400, including contractors.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to fill in a vacant position(s) mentioned below:

Position: Officer – Sustainability
Grade: Stratum I – Mid
Department: Sustainability
Number of Position: One (1)

Role Purpose

  • The purpose of the Officer- Sustainability role is to engage a competent person to produce departmental monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, as well as oversee SAP administration, Document Control, and other administrative responsibilities of the Sustainability Department

Role Accountabilities

  • Ensure quality and timely submission of departmental monthly, quarterly, and monthly reports Coordinate Departmental Meetings by organizing and sharing meeting outcomes and actions for implementation Submit timely and quality minutes and records of departmental and other strategic meetings with stakeholders
  • Manage all correspondence to and from the department and provide administrative support to the Senior Manager – Sustainability
  • Coordinate effective and efficient use of logistics as well as document control and information management
  • Manage departmental purchase and store requisitions and other required resources
  • Perform any other task the role may require delivering in complementing organizational goals.

Qualification Required & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, BSc Agric or Environmental science, Social Sciences, or related field from a reputable institution


  • 3 years’ experience in similar line of work, preferably in mining environment

  • Ability to work with teams including people with diverse culture and values
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
  • Must be able to drive Light Vehicles with a valid Ghanaian Driving License
