Just In: Cristiano Ronaldo Agrees To Part Ways With Manchester United

Going forward, Cristiano Ronaldo is to depart Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect. The team declared on November 22, 2022. Ronaldo harshly denounced the club’s owners, the Glazer family, and accused Erik ten Hag of treason during Piers Morgan’s interview last week.

Following the publication of the interview, Manchester United stated on Monday that they will weigh all available information before making a decision. “Following discussions with Manchester United, we’ve both decided to terminate our contract,” according to a statement by Cristiano Ronaldo.
“I have always loved Manchester United and the supporters, and that won’t ever change.” The moment seems appropriate to look for a new challenge.
Now that Ronaldo has left Manchester United once more, between 2003 and 2009, the striker was a member of the Red Devils before leaving to sign for Real Madrid for €94 million. The 37-year-old later joined the team again in the summer of 2021, and in 346 games for Manchester United, he has tallied 145 goals and 64 assists. In a statement released by the club, they said:
Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect.“The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishes him and his family well for the future.
“Everyone at Manchester United remains focused on continuing the team’s progress under Erik ten Hag and working together to deliver success on the pitch.”
