Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu, has proudly announced a historic achievement for his constituency: the graduation of its first female Aerospace Engineer, Miss Alice Dziwornu.
Miss Dziwornu, who graduated with First Class Honors from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) on Friday, received full sponsorship from the North Tongu MP’s Scholarship Scheme. She has also been offered another full scholarship by Hon. Ablakwa to pursue her master’s degree.
Reflecting on her journey, the MP shared how Alice’s late father’s passing left her family uncertain about further education. Hon. Ablakwa’s Scholarship Scheme stepped in, ensuring that Alice could pursue her dreams.
In a message celebrating her success, Hon. Ablakwa stated:
Emerging tops in a male-dominated field, I have no doubt that Miss Dziwornu will achieve her ambition of working with Boeing and motivating girls in rural Ghana to embrace STEM.
The achievement marks a significant milestone for North Tongu, with Alice serving as a role model for young girls aspiring to break barriers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Congratulations to Miss Alice Dziwornu for her groundbreaking accomplishment and to Hon. Ablakwa for his continued support of education in Ghana.
