In a statement, Professor Opoku-Agyemang said she was "overwhelmed by the love and encouragement" she received on her special day, which she celebrated by giving back to the community. She visited an orphanage in Tamale, where she made a donation to support the children, and also made a donation to the leprosarium in Ankaful, Central Region.
Professor Opoku-Agyemang described the experiences as "moving" and emphasized the importance of community, compassion, and common humanity. She reiterated her commitment to continuing this work and finding more ways to serve and uplift Ghana.
"I am committed to continuing this work and finding more ways to serve and uplift our beloved country, Ghana," she said. "Together, we can make a meaningful impact and bring about meaningful change."
Professor Opoku-Agyemang also expressed her belief that her story is one of God's grace and that this is just the beginning of many more blessings. She thanked Ghanaians again for their unwavering support, saying it "means the world" to her.
