Speaker Bagbin Advocates for Holistic Education at Queen of Peace SHS 25th Anniversary

Rt. Hon. Alban S. K. Bagbin, Speaker of Parliament, has emphasized the need for holistic education to equip students for the challenges of the modern world.
Speaking during the 25th-anniversary celebration of Queen of Peace Senior High School, he highlighted the importance of nurturing students' intellectual, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual development.
Praising the school’s 25-year legacy, the Speaker lauded its commitment to producing individuals who excel academically and morally. He underscored that holistic education integrates critical thinking, empathy, creativity, and teamwork, enabling students to become effective leaders and problem-solvers.
Rt. Hon. Bagbin called for collaboration among families, educators, and communities to create an educational system that fosters both intellectual and moral growth. He commended the school for promoting holistic values through initiatives such as cadet displays, poetry recitals, and alumni achievements.
Encouraging a collective effort, the Speaker urged teachers to build nurturing environments, students to take ownership of their learning, and communities to support programs that empower the next generation.
Holistic education is a continuous process that requires all stakeholders to play their part, he stated.
