The Sports Writers Association of NIgeria (SWAN) has congratulated Mahmud N. Yamusa over his appointment as the new Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Sports Development Kaduna State.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary Kaduna SWAN, Opkani Jacob Onjewu Dickson.

“The Sports Writers Association of NIgeria (SWAN), Kaduna State chapter heartily congratulates Mahmud N. Yamusa on his appointment as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Sports Development.

“We strongly believe that his appointment will translate into positive development of sports from the grassroots in the state,” it said.

SWAN said that it believes that Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai made the right choice.

The association however, tasked him to ensure that he carries its members along as important stakeholders in uplifting sports in the state.

“While congratulating the new Perm Sec, we wish to remind him that as critical stakeholders, we urge him to always carry us along in all activities of the ministry to ensure a cordial relationship that will translate to adequate publicity for the ministry,” it concluded.
