'The Electoral Bag Materials are intact' - Ghana Police Assures public after Broken Seals
Electoral bag materials intact after broken seals
The Ghana Police Service has resolved an issue involving a broken seal on a bag of electoral materials.

The bag, containing ballot sheets and other materials, was being transported from Koforidua to a constituency in the Eastern Region when it was discovered to have an improperly secured seal. According to the police, the seal came off during the packing and unpacking process and was noticed while the bags were being moved from the armoury in Koforidua.

The broken seal was recovered, and stakeholders, including the Electoral Commission and party agents, have verified that the contents of the bag remain intact.

Separately, the Electoral Commission has identified shortfalls in ballot papers intended for some constituencies in the Volta Region, including Keta, Ketu North, Ho Central, Hohoe, and Ho West. The Volta Region, a stronghold of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has seen allegations of potential rigging and collusion between the Electoral Commission and the ruling New Patriotic Party over the issue.
