Flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has announced plans to establish an annual National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving if elected as President in December.
Speaking at a breakfast meeting with religious leaders in Ho during his campaign tour of the Volta region, Mahama emphasized the importance of gratitude and spiritual intercession for the nation's continued blessings.
He explained that the proposed day would serve as an opportunity to thank God for his past deeds and seek his continued favor for Ghana. "In all things, we must give thanks. In happiness, sadness, and whatever happens to us, we must give thanks," Mahama stated, underscoring the significance of acknowledging God's actions as a means to receive more blessings.
Mahama's message, themed "Building the Ghana We Want Together," remains central to his campaign as he interacts with diverse groups, including young people, women, traders, and traditional leaders across the Volta region. The proposed National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving is a reflection of Mahama's vision to foster a strong, united, and prosperous Ghana for all citizens.
